Chair, Asian Corporate Governance Association
Linda Tsao Yang
was the United States Ambassador and Executive
Director to the Asian Development Bank in Manila
from 1993 to 1999. She was the first woman Executive
Director appointed by the United States government
to the board of a multilateral development bank
and the first Executive Director appointed by
President Clinton and confirmed by the United
States Senate.
Ambassador Yang
chairs the Asian Corporate Governance Association
based in Hong Kong, a non-profit membership organization
dedicated to helping Asian corporations improve
their governance practices. She is on the board
of the Pacific Pension Institute, The Center for
Asia Pacific Policy, RAND Corporation, The Asia
Foundation and The Committee of 100, a national
Chinese-American organizaton. Ambassador Yang
serves as an independent non-executive director
on the board of The Bank of China (Hong Kong)
and is a member of its audit committee. She is
a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and
The Trusteeship for Betterment of Women in Los
Angeles.
