HKBN brings in CPPIB for IPO

(Asia Asset Management) – Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has reportedly been brought in as cornerstone investor for the IPO of Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited (HKBN), pledging as much as US$200 million for the listing of Hong Kong’s second largest broadband provider. 

Reuters cited market sources as saying that HKBN’s shareholders, which include CVC Capital Partners (CVC), are looking to raise up to US$750 million from the float. The IPO was scheduled to be launched on February 24.
