HKVCA Masterclass – Workshop on Fair Valuation - 5 Oct 2009

As part of HKVCA’s education initiative and the beginning of a series of Masterclasses, the workshop on fair valuation was held on 5 October. Dr. Cindy Ma, Managing Director of Houlihan Lokey’s New York office shared her experience in valuing illiquid securities using different financial models and the issues involved. The workshop was attended by more than 50 private equity and financial services practitioners and feedback was very positive.

CHKLC-CPA Australia-HKCA Joint Mixer - 12 Oct 2009

HKVCA with the Chamber of HK Listed Companies (CHKLC), CPA Australia and the generous support of RSM Nelson Wheeler, co-organized a joint-mixer event on 12 October at the American Club. Mr. Jun Zhao, Managing Director of Alpha Business Systems Ltd shared his insights on the latest policies and market trends in China’s outbound investments. The audience gained useful and practical knowledge on the subject. The Mixer drew an audience of 100 and members of HKVCA, CHKLC and CPA Australia had a fun networking evening.
